Today, I am so excited to show you the outcome of a beautiful project I have been working on with a handful of lovely ladies.
When the talented Tara, of Tara Deacon Illustrations talked to me about illustrating wedding stationary, I immediately knew this was going to be amazing. We got together over a cup of coffee and started brainstorming ideas for what would turn out to be a beautiful styled shoot. We wanted to use seasonal blooms as an inspiration for the theme and ended up with a gorgeous combination of garden roses, peonies and eucalyptus leaves, which Tara turned into beautifully crafted wedding invitations and menu cards.
We got lovely Caroline from Bloomage Daydream on board to create a beautiful bridal bouquet for the occasion. If you haven't already, go check out her website. She creates amazing seasonal arrangements and delivers them personally...by bike (!)...so cool.
And last, but not least, we asked (the other;)) lovely Caroline from The District Six Store (you may remember her from a previous blog post of mine) to supply us with some of the gorgeous products by local South African designers she sells at her lovely shop. (All of the products used are listed below)
I am so incredibly happy with the gorgeous outcome. Everything came together perfectly. We found a perfect location to shoot, the light was absolutely to die for and since I've been secretly hoping to get Tara and her beautiful eyes in front of my camera some day, I could have not asked for a more beautiful "bride" on the day.
Thanks to all of the great people involved. Small businesses rule!
