Today I am showing you a beautiful wedding I shot a few weeks back here in Berlin. It was such an incredibly relaxed and lovely day and I feel very lucky to have had the chance to document this couple's journey from morning till late at night.
This urban wedding combined 'the traditional' and 'the unconventional' in a perfect way. Besides all of the beautifully fresh and creative details (the amazing seating chart being one of many awesome DIY ideas), it was the couple's laid-back attitude towards enjoying their day that made this wedding so special. They got ready together in their own (very stylish) apartment with their closest friends surrounding them, then headed off to the very elegant Mendelssohn-Remise in Berlin-Mitte where they officially tied the knot. After a sunny courtyard reception the couple decided to grab a coffee with some of their guests, before heading off to the evening's venue: 3 Schwestern located in a former hospital in Berlin-Kreuzberg, called Bethanien. Absolutely lovely place!
Besides all the love and laughter, some of the most memorable moments of this wedding to me were the joint subway ride (including guests and bridal couple !) and the brilliant live music played by some very talented friends and members of the family during the ceremony and throughout the evening. This wedding was so wonderfully personal and reflected the beautiful couple's personality in every detail. What a perfect way to start life as a married couple together!
