A perfect Australian DIY wedding

Oh, where to start?!..This day was so much more than I had ever imagined it to be leading up to it . Not only was it the very special day of a couple of dear friends that I was lucky enough to witness, it was a wedding day filled with so much love, thoughtfulness and beauty that I am still somewhat speechless and by every means truly impressed with the outcome of this meticulously planned wedding. And the best part: I got to photograph it all!

The day started out with 'the girls' getting ready at this beautifully quaint cottage. After the bride got into her gorgeous gown, beautifully hand-sewn by her mother (I am still so very impressed!), we headed off to the ceremony which was to take place in one of the most extraordinary places on this planet, the peak of Mt. Pilot. The view and scenery were simply stunning (as was the emotional ceremony, in which I had to fight back tears behind my camera). After a little reception directly up on the hill, the guests were guided to the evening's location, the beautiful Amulet Winery, while we had a chance to sneak off and take some portraits back at that lovely cottage. The day ended with a reception at sunset, followed by a delicious dinner and and some lively dancing. What a day!

Dear J & M, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me be part of this wonderful day. I feel truly honoured and thankful. Your wedding was beautiful in every possible way and I wish you all the best for your promising future together!
