An intimate Berlin wedding

So here it is: the last wedding of 2015, my first wedding season! Looking back it's been quite the journey for me! I am so thankful to all the couples that gave me their trust, and let me be part of their very special day in such an intimate way (kind of why I love this job so much)!

This particular wedding took place on another lovely late-summer's day here in Berlin, in Köpenick actually (yes, that's two weddings in a row ... check out the other one here). And I get it now - it really is a charming little place, surrounded by water, the beautiful brick town hall and the Schloss Köpenick with its beautiful grounds. It was the first time an indoor ceremony didn't scare me senseless (ok I'm exaggerating a bit, but...) - this Standesamt had beautifully bright rooms with white walls...a photographers dream (hint, hint to all my future couples that want nice pictures of the ceremony:)).

Before all that I got to capture some special moments in the morning whilst the couple was getting ready, including a first look. After the ceremony we headed off to the beautiful grounds of Schloss Köpenick for some portraits and let me tell you, it was lovely! One of the special things about this wedding was that the couple lives a vegan (but fitness oriented) lifestyle. So everything was planned to accommodate that, even the gorgeous looking cakes and muffins were vegan, beautifully crafted by the lovely Gökçen from Sweetkitçen (I had the pleasure of trying them, and they didn't just look yummy, they really WERE...). All in all, it was a lovely day with lots of laughter and tears of joy. I am - as always - so thankful to have witnessed another special day like this one.
